Simply about Szimpla
Firstly, I want to say that for those who like nice repair in the bar and clean walls - there is nothing to do here. Just to prevent the injures of the psyche. Once it was a residential building, now some walls and doorways remained. Funny, rude, weird, broken - nothing matches, but everything suits to each other. That seems to be the point for both the guests and the interior design. The interior was decorated with everything that was at hand, all the walls painted, and on the second floor, even the paintings hang. Initially, it seems that they just took the everything in a dump and randomly hung the inside of the pub. But look closely and you will see that the rooms are decorated in different styles, there is a room of equipment and monitors, paintings and sculptures, a hookah with old soft toys and so on. Even the chairs are not the same here, you can sit in the trimmed bathroom. The initial Szimpla Kert opened way back in 2002 at another spot just a few streets from the current location. But in 2004, a chance presented to move to a bigger building in what was then a relatively quiet spot in the VII District. The building in question, at 14 Kazinczy Street, had housed homes and a factory, but by 2004 lay in ruin. This is the most popular tourist place, you can rarely meet here local Hungarians. There are open areas, a dance floor (the DJ usually works from 21:00), on the ground floor, opposite the open air, there is a stage where the most diverse performers and musicians often give live concerts, the schedule can be seen in the same hall. It’s crowded most of the time! Take a marker with you to leave a message on the wall :) The cheapest beer - 590Ft Tips: *On the weekends the queue starts grow from 10pm *You can't get inside with own food and drinks from 8pm * Check the Szimpla shop (open Tue-Fr 12-7pm, Sat 11-4pm) Address: Budapest, Kazinczy u. 14, 1075
